EduTrader Quote Sheets offer the flexibility to import symbols from a LST file.
To learn how to create a .lst file in either Excel or Notepad please follow the directions below:
Creating a .lst file in Excel
Type in a list of symbols as shown in the picture below and then save the file by clicking on File - Save As...

Choose where you are saving it to, we recommend saving it to C:\My Documents\EduTrader User Files\Import Lists\ to do this at the top of this window click to the right of where it says Save in:

Type in a File name. Ex: Mysymbols.lst

Change the Save as type to: Text (MS-DOS) (*.txt)

Click Save
If Excel warns you about any errors that come up while saving the file click OK through all of them.
Creating a .lst file in Notepad
Type in a list of symbols as shown in the picture below and then save the file by clicking on File - Save As...

Choose where you are saving it to, we recommend saving it to C:\My Documents\EduTrader User Files\Import Lists\ to do this at the top of this window click to the right of where it says Save in:

Type in a File name. Ex: Mysymbols.lst

Change the Save as type: to All Files

Click Save.
Once you have saved your file in either Excel or Notepad, you are now ready to import it into a Quote Sheet. To Import a list of symbols into the Quote Sheet within EduTrader
1. Open a Quote Sheet, click on File - New - Quote Sheet or select Quotes from the Main Toolbar shown below.


2. Right click on the Quote Sheet or click on Quote Sheet in the Menu Bar.

3. Select Import Symbols... EduTrader will automatically select the Import Lists folder that is located at C:\My Documents\EduTrader User Files\Import Lists\. By default EduTrader will be looking for files with a .lst extension.

4. Find your file, highlight it and click Open.
